Weston Fishing Derby

Thanks to everyone who braved the torrential rains to attend the fishing derby.
Our apologies for the late posting of the winners but better late than never.
We had 43 kids attend and many continued to fish through some incredible rain. Fish caught included several large rainbow trout, a largemouth bass, a smallmouth bass, lots of sunfish, and a few pumpkin seeds. Our thanks to Jim Legacy and Bruce Medoff at the Massachusetts Division of Fisheries & Wildlife for their support of this event. Bruce walked around in the rain for 3 hours to help kids learn to fish and improve their skills! Thank you Bruce!

For many kids, the joy of catching their first fish will be with them forever. We are blessed in Massachusetts to have some of the best freshwater and saltwater fishing within an hour's drive! The Massachusetts Division of Fisheries & Wildlife has some great programs to get us out outdoors. Look them up at:
