Congratulations to Our Remarkable Sophomores!
On December 5th, six generous sophomores received well-deserved recognition for their outstanding commitments to community service at the Rotary Youth Leadership Award celebration. These students have truly embraced the Rotary motto of "Service above Self." The Rotary Club of Weston and Wayland selected these students after receiving nominations from two or more citizens.
Celebrating Excellence - In the picture, the students recognized on December 5th are (L to R): Alex Munoz, a student at Noble & Greenough, Sophie Belotte (Weston HS), Jonathan Wang Yu (Wayland HS), and Weston HS sophomores Ashley DeFilippo, Maggie Gray, and Grace Zeng. The winners are joined by RYLA Conference alumni Khim Thongbai (L), who attended the RYLA conference in Thailand, and Caitlyn Luzzi (R), who participated at Fitchburg State in June 2024 and hopes to return this year as a program facilitator.
✨ Nominate a Sophomore ✨ Anyone can nominate any sophomore living or studying in Weston or Wayland for the second round of awards, to be presented on March 6th. Fill out this short nomination form by the January 31, 2025, deadline.
🏆 Award Winners Encouraged to Apply - Award winners are encouraged to apply to be sponsored by the club to attend a 2.5-day Rotary Youth Leadership Awards conference in June 2025.
