Tricia Liu | |
Tricia and her family have lived in Weston for 12 years. They have two children, a daughter working as a Lieutenant in the US Air Force, and a son studying at Weston High School. Tricia has a Master’s degree in Applied Science in Engineering and a Bachelor’s of Engineering. She started her career as a well-published researcher and engineer and holds a dozen patents. She worked halfway to a Ph.D. degree before receiving funding for a startup, MediaChip, for which she was the CEO and co-founder for 7 years. Tricia was recently the Director of Intellectual Property for Olympus Scientific Solutions, and currently, a senior patent agent practicing patent law before the US Patent Office. People know Tricia as being very actively involved in our schools. She proudly helps WEEFC fundraising every year, attends School Committee meetings, and provided research and proposals. She also volunteers in various activities related to band concerts and her children's classes. A quick list of her Town experience is the following: Weston Cultural Council, member (4-years, chair for 3); Weston High School Council (current), Weston Middle School Council (2 years), Weston PTO – Outreach subcommittee (2 years, co-chair). "Joining our Rotary Club to volunteer is such a natural step for me". |
