They wrote to us with urgency: "With the summer months comes sun, swimming, barbecues…. And up to 20% fewer kitchen volunteers at Community Servings. While help is needed across the board, we are in particular need for more help for the 4-7pm shifts - this shift is crucial to finishing each day’s meal packaging, and preparing for the next day’s meal production.About Community Servings - www.servings.org

About Volunteering at Community Servings.
They require all volunteers to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. A member of our staff will check your vaccination card (or photo of it) upon arrival and make a note of your status. A photo of your vaccination card is acceptable, or you may bring the hard copy with you on the day of your scheduled shift. Please do not email or text photos of your vaccination card to our team members. If a member of your group does not have a vaccination card or copy, they will not be able to volunteer. In order to volunteer, you must feel 100% healthy and be free of any symptoms of illness, including a cough, fever, chills, body aches, chest congestion, shortness of breath, nausea/vomiting, or diarrhea.
Dress Code
- Face mask
- Long sleeved shirt
- Shoes that completely cover the foot (like sneakers)
- Long pants without rips or tears or a full length skirt
- Hairnets, aprons, and gloves will be provided on site
How to Get Here
Community Servings is located at 179 Amory St, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130. We have parking available on site if you are traveling by car. We are located close to the Stony Brook stop on the MBTA Orange Line if you are coming by public transportation.
