My year as President is ending, and I want to thank you all for making it a rewarding experience. We held many Monday Team meetings to plan meetings and events, big and small; we had not 1 but 2 Children's Business Fairs and the Christmas Tree Sale. We brought in speakers to increase attendance at weekly meetings and have welcomed many new members who are stepping up, joining teams, and volunteering. We formed a new relationship volunteering at the Celebration International Church's food pantry and had a special Valentine's Dinner and St. Patrick's Day Family Feud! We've enjoyed our conservation connection at the Sears Field and have used the Gavin barn for many events: meetings, a clambake, a honey-spinning event, and our awesome Halloween Party!
We also have increased our participation in multiple District events: The Foundation Dinner in November, the Tri-District Conference in April, and RYLA this past weekend, and we had 2 Assistant Governors from our club helping other clubs!
And for doing all that, our club was acknowledged with many awards from the District. Thank you to everyone who stepped up to help plan or volunteer their time to make all these things happen!
I look forward to seeing you on Thursday as we install Katya and the new Board of Directors. The club is in good hands with them!
