The Weston-Wayland Children’s Business Fair inspires children to discover their inner entrepreneurs.
Children showcase their very own businesses at our one-day market, which is part of the largest entrepreneurship event for kids in North America.
Kids develop a brand, create a product or service, build a marketing strategy, and then open for customers at our one-day marketplace.
Recap of the 2021 Weston-Wayland Children's Business Fair.
Fifty “kidpreneurs” will have booths at the 3rd annual event at the Weston Town Center on Saturday, May 20, 2023. We expect 500 guests to visit, browse and buy at the Fair.
This “Kidz Biz Fair,” a project of the Rotary Club of Weston and Wayland, was developed by Acton Academy and the Acton School of Business. Max Ash, the founder of MAX’IS Creations and the inventor of the patented “Mug with a Hoop,” is our Honorary Kid Co-Chair and role model for our participants. Our generous sponsors (confirmed as of August 21) include Dr. Dental, Max'Is Creations, and Zaazey Olive Oil.
Would your organization be interested in becoming a sponsor or supporter (and enjoy all the generous sponsor benefits we provide)? Please contact Alex Faigel, Fair Chair, and our Sponsor Services team for info.
We all believe that entrepreneurs are heroes and role models for the next generation.
Whether an entrepreneur is famous like Elon Musk, Oprah Winfrey, or Max Ash, or they are one of the thousands of unsung business owners across this country, they are the people who make sacrifices to innovate, create jobs and serve their communities.
“Today’s youths are tomorrow’s business innovators and leaders. The Children’s Business Fair gives students the opportunity to spread their entrepreneurial wings and get a head start on promising business careers,” said Jeff Sandefer, founder of the Acton School of Business, one of the sponsors of the fair.
Awards will be presented in each of the four age groups (6-7, 8-10, 11-12, and 13-14) for "Most Business Potential," "Most Creative Idea," "Most Business Applicant Referrals," and "Most Impressive Presentation." All KidPreneurs will receive mentorship, promotion, the Time for Kids book titles “Fantastic Lives: Business Sense,” a “Mug with a Hoop” from MAX’IS Creations. Additionally, the overall winner will receive a $50 prize.
